HP G7000 No Power No lights/ Dead Laptop?
This laptop is for my client send to me for repair, This laptop is dead because if i turn it ON no lights come up even if i use a power adapter. I will check the power adapter with my multimeter the output voltage is correct. So the first thing to do is to disassembly the laptop and pull out the system board.
Solutions:
1. The first i check is fuse, my multimeter show reading the fuse is ok
2. The second i i'll Check the MOSFET, using my multimeter i i'll test the MOSFET viola the POWER MOSFET near the RCA jack connector is shorted so i replace a good POWER MOSFET and Test it, wow its working great the laptop is back to life again.
after i test for a few minutes, i will assemble the laptop and test it everything its working fine.
